The conference will bring together researchers and practitioners presenting the most up-to-date results and achievements primarily in the following fields: advancement in physical layers and MAC protocols for indoor/cellular narrowband networks and broadband radio access systems; architectures and related protocols for the interworking of fixed and wireless (terrestrial and satellite) networks; Quality of Service (QoS) in wireless networks and/or in the internetworking environment; Personal Communication Systems beyond the third generation.

(*) Due to the many requests received the paper submission deadline has been extended to September 22, 2001. 

(**) Due to the many papers received the notification of acceptance will be delayed of approximately 10 days.
