Open Forum Session

Due to the great interest in the Conference and the tight deadlines necessary for the preparation of a reviewed papers meeting, it has not been possible for the Organisers to include all of the potential presentations whose abstracts were submitted after the deadlines. Having had a number of enquiries about the availability of making presentations on material which is precluded because of the above reasons, the Organisers have decided to include an Open Forum Session in the Conference. Authors may present their material in poster form. Details about the poster presentation will be given in due time to participants. The spaces for presentation are limited and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

Proposals for papers for the Open Forum Session will be accepted until the quota is reached, or until August 10, 2001, whichever is sooner. Although the material will not be included in the Proceedings, every effort will be made to put authors in touch with the many editors of Journals who will be present at the Conference, which may offer an alternative route for publication.

Papers dealing with experimental works on heat transfer, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics are definitely welcome in the Open Forum Session.

Contributors wishing to participate in the Open Forum Session should send (by post mail, fax or e-mail) an abstract of 100 to 300 words in length, and not exceeding one page of A4 or equivalent sized paper to:

The program of the Open Forum Session is now available. Instructions for poster preparation have been e-mailed directly to the authors.

Please remember that ONLY open forum papers will be presented in poster format: all the contributed and keynote papers require ORAL presentation by one of the authors.
