Graffiti

3D acquisition of a stone engraving

We are currently involved in the Graffiti project for the three dimensional acquisition of engravings probably from the Middle Age or earlier, found in caves and woods in the Tuscan mountains.
We are setting up a portable version of our laboratory digital profilometer with micrometric accuracy.
The dating project is managed by Prof. P.E. Bagnoli of Pisa University.
Our Departmental unit includes Prof. G. Tantussi and Dr. V. Zambardi, with external support from Dr. C. Magnanti from Omron.

Our 3D scanning system is available for the acquisition of almost flat surfaces (+/-15 mm), of any material, at any lay, with 0.25 micron nominal accuracy . Please inquire if interested.
