SUMMARY. Steady laminar MHD flow of a viscous Newtonian fluid in the bearing clearance modelled by two co-axial surfaces of revolution is considered. To solve this problem the MHD thin layer equations are used and exspressed in the curvilinear orthogonal coordinate system x, q, y. The influence of wall conductance and inertia of rotating fluid on the flow field is analyzed.
