SUMMARY. The influence of inertia effect on the pressure distribution in curvilinear thrust bearing with a viscoplastic squeeze film is considered. This distribution for the Ostwald-de Waele, Bingham and Herschel-Bulkley fluids in the clearance between two disks is discussed in detail. It is found that the inertia forces increase the pressure and load capacity. The pressure decreases with the increase of the flow behaviour index N.
